Viburnum is a large genus with about 210 species found in temperate and warm temperate, northern hemisphere countries, especially in North America and Asia.
Viburnum grandiflorum belongs to the category of shrub of family Caprifoliaceae which grows upto 6 feet maximum. The plant bear Berries that turns Green to reddish black on the processes of ripening & its tastes sour when green and sweet when ripe. regional names varies in some areas in District (Doda). Nepal, Bhutan, southeast Tibet, India (J&K: Doda & Bhaderwah) where it grows in forests at an altitude from 1700 m.asl to 3000 m.asl.
